Is there any vertical tail fin that you guys are using with a open design? Just wanted to replace the solid plastic stock ones, in the hope of gaining some piro speed. Will this help some or is it just for looks?

I doubt an open tail fin will have much affect on your piro speed. John might have some open style fins for you. I have seen a plastic version in his skunk works that might be available now. John is in Muncie now so you can call him Monday if you're interested.

The Tiger and Pantera use the same fin set.

You might want to check out these.

Another great option is the plastic fins from the T-Rex 600. They are cut out, look great, and extremely tough, while being tall enought o keep the tail off the ground. Plus, they're cheap.
