Finally after a couple months of waiting, I finally maidened the 600N today, things are going nicely, I need to shift some weight toward the front. I wanted to show off my setup and tricks and gadgets I use to fly this thing.

Portable Field Box with Lipo starter and fuel pump... its really nice to be able to carry this small bag instead of a big box

Backlit JR 9303 using an EL panel

JR 8717's on cyclic and throttle GY611/9256 on tail

YS 50ST with Zimmerman Pipe, Align 2 in 1 regulator

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

The backlit 9303 mod came from a guy I know, he sold me the backlight panel, then some fancy screwing around in my radio got it set up... I am trying to find out where he bought the panel from, will see next time I see him

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

The cyclic ring is custom made with a dremel tool and a lot of time, I am still trying to find out where the EL panel was purchased from, he said they custom cut the panels for the customer....

YS

Hey Ozy I am not familiar with the YS engine, just OS, I got the Align 50 Hyper for my bird, but looking at your pictures I see a tube that appears to be exiting the engine for pressure, which on a normal OS the pressure comes out of the pipe, can you explain how that works, and why do you have 2 "T's" for fueling the blue and red
Definitely it looks way cool, I am having almost the same setup except for an aitronics 94758Z witha red heat sink for throtle and the G7703D gyro with the red DS8900G, but now I have on idea how mine will look once I assembly it. What about the weight of the bird when using those servos?? I believe the heat sinks add a little more weight???

Thanks

Yup, home depot....

As far as the YS, it is pressurized from the crankcase, not the muffler, and it has a check valve to keep the pressure built up. Before unplugging the red filter to refuel, I have to let the pressure out on the return tube... the JR filters came as a pair, and I needed a T to let off pressure, that is the reason for the blue T filter... after every flight, I have to relieve the pressure... the engine works flawlessly so far... a lot of power, and I am still running way way rich....

Havent talked to him yet, but I did the procedure myself, he just sold me the panel.... I'm sure you could get the same results by finding any EL custom panel manufacturer..... I think he just did a search to find them as well...

Well, here are the latest pics,

The day before...

After the last tank on my first gallon....

One gallon = 10 tanks, ~$300 in damage, = $30 per flight.

To me, still worth it, I will rebuild the frames with 2mm's, fix a few links, get a new head for my YS 50ST, a new align regulator, a new pipe, torque tube, boom, and Radix....

The JR 8717's came out perfect... the 1.6mm frames shattered...

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

Just crashed mine too, 3 mins on first flight, governer sensor grounded out on fan, expanded at high rpm. At 2100 head speed going in they crumble up like a pretzel.
