I think it's called the Sceadu EX kit . . . there really does not appear to be much in common between the two . . . different frames, head parts, mixer parts, engine mounts . . . heck, other than a few bearings and screws, I can't think of anything that would be the same . . . .

Since I'm building a new house I have to live vicariously through those of you who can still spend on this wonderful pastime. Please post more pics when you buy one so I can dream...

I was lucky enough to win the conversion kit at the Hirobo cup. The kit is outstanding, some of the best quality around. Here are a couple pics of the built frame.

It looks like that frame set runs around $600-$700.

Is that just a frame conversion, or the whole heli? The head is totally different on the EX, being the SD-G head, that is not on the base Sceadu or EVO, hence my comments about not much in common. Just a frame uplift with the same head parts and linkages seems a lot more doable . . .

One of these days . . . once my checkbook recovers from my new 90 . . .

699?

Yea, that's retarded. I love the Evo but these guys need to be a bit more competitive with these upgrades. Would love to eventually throw a CF frame into the mix but for Gods sake keep it reasonable. Makes me look to Align in the future. Sometimes companies like this wake up years later to see their market share erode before their eyes..
