Thanks PhoenixRC team!!!
Just flew the MiniT and the Trex600N.
The MiniTitan is really close to real imo.
And for the 600N, if this is close to real than it will be my next heli, what a great looking and flying heli.
The(many?)changes to the physics feel very good, very real to me.
And another bladebark sound?.
A brand new feel, but a very good one imo.
less floating and more connected.
Thanks again.

Eric

I LIKE it! The best update yet in my opinion. I haven't felt the need to "tweak" anything at all. I haven't flown any planes yet but with the heli's all the flight characteristics feel right on including auto's which feel very, very real! They didn't say anything about mulitplayer changes so I don't know if it was just a co-incidence or not but my buddy and I were able to connect first try after we updated and it worked great. We tried for hours just last night and couldn't get connected.

Good job Phoneix!

Apparently I spoke too soon about the multiplayer connecting. We went back after dinner and we could never connect again. Tried ad tried for an hour.

I don't know if it's just me but the sound of the wind doesn't seem realistic at all. Even at 2 mph it makes a howling sound and sounds like it's doing 20 mph or more.

My only problem that I had was:

1)I had to reload all the extra models. It would not recognize that I already had them.

2)When in edit aircraft, you have the option of adding expo for that model but its is backward like JR and they all say elevator expo when only the top one is elevator and the next is aileron and then rudder.

3)I also get a zoom glitch.

They did mention that the physics changed and all user-installed aircraft needed to be reinstalled. I haven't tried the individual expo yet, I'll have to check it out.

P.S.

Does anyone else have the blade "bark" continue after you are on the ground and the blades have stopped, or after a crash? This is the only thing I have found a little goofy so far...

The update is great, this product just gets better and better

I do have a gripe though, there is still quite a marked difference in the response of the physics/controls or whatever when you have vertical sync turned on vs with it turned off.

I want to use it with v sync turned on and the reason is my PC will run it easily with hundreds of fps even with 4 x anti aliasing with V sync off so there is no way i'll run into stuttering problems with it turned on,that you can get when your average fps is too low or lower than your monitor/LCD refresh rate.

But haveing V sync turned off makes the PC & graphics card work flat out all the time(faster fan speeds, consuming more PSU power etc etc) ,when it doesn't really need to.

The sim is softer and slower on the controls with V sync on,whereas
with V sync off it is somewhat faster,or has a more "realtime" feel to it.

Is there a way this v sync behaviour can be evened out in future update

I installed 1.04g tonight, but when starting up i had no sound.
Error :- " problem starting sound system ". I've got an AC97 on board sound. Did a re-install to no avail. I didn't want to un-install again so i tried re-installing 1.04f over the top of "g". Suprise! , it did not corrupt the install, and it brought the sound back. Now i'm back to 1.04f, but it works OK!. So i'm happy, and it's still a great sim.

Only problem I've found is that the Hawk jet will take off with the undercarriage retracted

I have a graphics problem with the new version . On the ground , only the aircraft selected is visible on a black background . If I take off and climb , the scenery graphics appear once ground level is off the bottom of the screen . As soon as altitude is reduced , to the point where the ground should appear , I'm flying on a black canvas again .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Nivlek, do you have antialiasing enabled? Try disabling it as I've had this happen on some other software in the past.

Just some tips....

A lot of problems are caused by running your system with older hardware drivers.
When trying out new software you always have to make sure you have the newest hardware drivers installed, the developers also use the newest drivers.
If the problem persists you can always try older drivers.
A new SIM or Game is the heaviest thing you can run on your PC and it needs a lot more than any other kind of Application.
Steps i always take testing a game or in this case a Simulator,
Download and install:
- The newest version of DirectX.
- The newest(official)drivers for your videocard.
- The newest sounddrivers for your soundcard (onboard or extern)
Other things to look at:
- latest AGP drivers for your motherboard.
- Keep the load of resident programs running low, check how many Apps run in the background and minimize that.
etc.etc.etc.

Best version yet, I like it! Love the new helis! Would love the Swift in there though! My tails still blow out fairly easy though when doing 3D... how can I fix this?

I noticed the slow rotation of the tail rotor when at idle. Nice touch for the glow powered helis but this is not a feature of electrics yet they still seem to exhibit this behaviour.

Hardly a major issue though!
