I have some noob questions about my DX6. I understand that once I've trimmed my heli I should re-bind to set the fail safe servo positions to the trimmed positions so the gyro reads the trimmed heli. My first question is about the binding process. The directions say to power off, plug bind plug into bat port, then to power on receiver by connecting the battery to any unused port. What does that mean? LOL What battery and what port? Sorry for these simple questions but for some reason it's not clicking with me! LOL

also, unless you re-bind to reset the failsafe, am I right in assuming that each time you power up the heli and radio that the gyro may sense the failsafe as neutral and it wouldn't matter how your trims are set, the gyro will establish the failsafe as center and you would be retrimming the heli every time? LOL or am I way off? LOL

Oh.... one other thing. When you power up the transmitter, do you continue to hold the bind button until you get green lights?
Thanks for all the help! sorry for being long winded.

If it makes a difference, I'm using a logictech 2100t gyro

The battery can be in any servo plug. They are all the same as far as the pos and neg leads are concerned.

Not sure about the rest but the new e series from Rays covers the dx6, dx7 and trex very thouroughly.

I think I'm finally getting it. My power supply to charge the radio is a dual charger with a separate connection to power the receiver and also one to charge the radio; but since I'm flying an electric (trex 450sa) All I have to do is connect a Lipo to the ESC and place the bind plug into the bat port and that should power up the receiver. Is this right? LOL

The reciever wire off the charger is to charge a battery, not power the reciever but yes, with an ESC you get the power from the throttle channel where the ESC plugs into.
