Well, before I tried this setup I saw some pics in Runryder and I give it a try thinking that I would have noise issues!
After 20 flights the birds flies very nice and no interferences

Yes, in a crash you WILL destroy the gyro because the flybar will come in contact with it.

yes, in a crash or on hard landings, the paddles WILL come down and hit the gyro

it might not look like it could, but it could bend

put it under the boom using rdlohr's mount from readyheli
