trying to get setup and was going to get a d80 but saw that it has a shutter speed half as fast as the d200 1/4000 vs 1/8000 so decided i should go with the d200 but curious if my heli will lift it.

I don't know if I'd decide based solely on that feature.

However, I have a D200 and it is a GREAT camera for sure.

Much nicer than the D80, but also much heavier. It's a brick of a camera.

I fly a stock Trex with a lightweight, custom front mount. I fly the Canon Rebel XTi without any difficulty.

Figure about 4 pounds payload, max. My mount and camera is approx. half that, and the Trex handles it nicely.
