Looks like e-flite is entering the 400 size market only offering it up completely RTF with a 2.4ghz radio that looks quite nice and full brushless setup for a suggested price of around $470. Interesting design.

The spektrum DX6I is an upgraded DX6. 10 model memory, airplanes and helis, uses the 2nd generation 6 channel receivers. AND has FIVE point throttle/pitch curves, which is a huge improvement in my book.

This'll be a great stop over between the Blade CX/CP and the T-Rex or a nitro.

In many many pictures.... Yes I have seen a t-rex. Just because the t-rex is the most mas produced rc helicopter in the world dosent mean every time some company produces a new rc heli, its a clone. Sure there are plenty of clones out there but this one looks original.

I see the resemblance now. They booth have rotor heads.

Hmm....Is this just going to be a bigger BCPP(upgrade and it will work) or is this the real deal. I just watched the video, not bad but watch the tail wag at around 23sec. We will see when it comes out, I wonder if it will actually come out when they say or will it be pushed back like always

That thing looks like a real pile of junk. Look at the main gear and frame on it. Big deal it has 2.4 GHz, never needed 2.4GHz. Throw in some carbon blades, 3 lipo packs, a charger with balancer and I may start thinking about getting one for $470.

Similar already available

Airframe only ..............?

Appears to be a slightly different version of the e-sky belt CP (very, very similar), and barebones belt CP is only $US88 from Hong Kong.

IMO the blade 400 is a T-rex clone it would be a good quality starter package after a crappy cx (not a cx 2 waste of money 2.4GHZ in a crappy radio). But alot of Help would still be needed to fly this heli and setup for a newbie. As for us that have moved on or never even picked up a coaxial started with a BCPP upgraded and have good radios I hate to say it but unless they make a cheap barebones kit why not go for the real thing(T-REX that is). And if you do not believe its a clone take a look at following pic.

lol this looks nothing like a beltcp. The beltcp uses a flybar situated above the main blades in a Raptor style head design, it uses a bell-crank system on all of the cyclic controls, and the mainframe puts all the heavy components low in the frame.

This heli has a more trex looking style head with the flybar below the main blades. It uses a bell-crank system on only the elevator channel presumably to help get the vertical cg higher. The pitch and aileron servos are direct connections. This frame is designed to bring the weight up high and close to the main shaft which will really help aerobatic performance. It looks like a very nice design to me and actually quite different from a t-rex or beltcp.

I had forgotten how militant people are around here about the t-rex lol. Other than the head being similar, and really unless you go with an mfs head what doesn't look like this, the helis look nothing alike. This looks like a great deal to me. But what do I know.

As far as I'm conserned the more helis out there to choose from the better. Costs on these things are to high the way it is.

agreed, I'll hold out all judgement till I see the tail system. I've had several helis that sucked completely due to the tail system being horribly designed.

That's what I'm worried about, especially with this being their first belt driven tail.

I need a 450 size bird for the wife soon. This would work for her as it has everything and I'm not stuck sharing my TX.
