Hello

First I have to tell you that English is not my birth-language, so if it is hard to understand me please ask me to try to explain again.

So to the topic.

I'm a happy new owner of a robbe futura gas. A big bird with 1,8 meter rotor-diameter.

I think it kind of old, but the gay i bought it from told me that it has not flow very much.
And I believe him, because it look very tight and unused.

The servo in it is
Elevator/aileron...JR NES 4000
Pitch.....................JR NES 4231
Throttle.................JR NES 4000

I haven't been able to find so much info about the servo, but maybe some of you guy's know about them???
They look very tight and fine.

Should I use them or is it best to buy some modern servos ?
And in that case witch servo is best for this bird?
I'm not going to use it for 3D, the use will be for AP.

Based on the above, they should be fine, infact the throttle servo is overkill.
Hope this helps

That was for sure a quick answer :-)
And you have the spec for my servos too.
Thank you !

But is it enough with 5.3 and 6 kilo for this big bird ?

I have no experience with this big-birds (I have had a Tz50(stinger)for a couple of years) but i see the raptor90 guys use 9kg servo...
But it may be for 3D use it have to bee so big?

I dont see why not.
Using it for AP, its not going to take a bashing, and movements will be quite small.
I would be amazed if they didnt cope.
Best bet is to try it without the AP stuff on, but, if it was me, I wouldnt worry at all.

I have a robbe futura se ys .61. This is a great helicopter. I purchased it from an expert builder who still has futura mechanics in a scale schwiezer. My futura has older jr servos although probabply a little newer than yours. I also have an older jr g5000t gyro. This helicopter is a dreamship for sport flying. She can do some three-d. Nothing hardcore but beautiful graceful flight. The motor starts right up may need a click or two in the mixture when the weather changes Otherwise I just charge the battery, gas it up, and it starts in seconds. You will enjoy this machine.
