I finally got my Fromeco Arizona regulator mounted on my heli, this heli is using servos that can be safely used only with 4.8 volts.

Do I have to set the regulator at 4.8 volts or can I go as high as, say 5.3 volts? I have a generic regulator that is rated at 5.3 volts.

And just to be sure do I need to disconnect the 4.8 rated servos from the receiver as I am adjusting the voltage on the regulator up and down from 4.something to around the 6 volt range?

On one heli I'm using JR8311's for cyclic, Futaba 9155 fir pitch and a Futaba 9254 for throttle. On the other heli I'm using Futaba 9252 for cyclic and pitch and a Futaba 9254 for throttle.

BTW those blue lights look really cool!

Having my heli: Cool, Having a working heli: Awesome, Having a day to fly: PRICELESS!

5.6 will work fine on all of the Futaba servos. It is what I use. Gyro too.

I can't speak about the other Junior servos...;-)

The gyro has no real limit in that range its the tail rotor servo, which I wouldnt run much higher than 5.3 but its safe up to there, thats what 4.8v packs run at for a while anyway when they are fresh.

Other than the 9254 i can't comment on the 9 series Futaba's, but all my JR/Fromeco's Heli's are running @ 6v's with step-down's to the (Tail) 8900's and 9256's.

The 9254 does have History of dropped motor winding's and as stated i wouldn't want to go above 5.2 with those on board.

The Arizona has a set voltage for the rudder, and adjustable for the rest. I have mine set at 5.5 volts. Most servos are fine at that voltage including futaba servos.
