Anyone have one of these or do this, i saw a video and I am totally getting one, is it possible to use like and align 35a esc on a car? I plan to do brushless, anyone know of a good car as a platform?

I think you will need a brake function, and I think align sells esc's maid especially for cars.

I tried the PVC tires on my Associated 10 T...

did not work so well.. as soon as the car got a little sideways it would kick all the way around...

Now I am sure my set up was not correct.. but it was worth a shot.. had the car...

the wheels were easy to make... find a bolt that is a tight fit to the axle hole in the rim.. bolt it on anch chuck in a drill press... I used a sanding block to true down the rims so the pvc pipe slid on just tight.. CA'd it on and tada.. pvc wheel.

You will need a 4wd setup to really drift the cars like in the vid. I converted my HPI Pro 4 in a drifter and boy was it fun. It's more of a race car but I was too lazy to go out to the local races. Lol

Any 4wd car will make a good drift car. I was using the PVC tires but they do wear pretty quick since I was using the Novak 4.5r BL system. Talk about crazy speed when I put the regular race tires back on. It you want to use rubber tires make sure you have a good motor to spin the wheels.

I got my PVC tires from ebay. I think 15 bucks for 12 tires. Or you can make your own BTW PVC tires provide insane non stop drifting action if you know how to handle car. Depending on where you plan on drifting your rc car I think PVC are best on concrete and rubber if you plan on drifting on very smooth hard concrete like indoor

Ok now im looking into rc drag cars, what do you guys think? friend or foe?

I used to drift all day long when My RC-10GT was running. Lots of power in a little truck. I wore out plenty of tires too. Iused to race the thing next to cars as they came around the corner (I was 14 and too young and dumb to know any better). I put a gps on it and got 50 mph out of it once on a nice day.

I'm willing to bet RC drag racing gets boring after a few rips down a track unless you plan on getting into lots of commpetition.

Yea? I thought it might be fun, to try and get it to go faster and faster and maybe someone else has one. Idk I just want something fun that i can do in front of my house. Rc or course. trying to explore the hobby.

Most fun I've ever had with an R/C car... Course you can't have noise sensitive neighbors.. cuz its louder than heck!

Hmmm, hard decision not sure, I like the idea of drift cars, but the drag cars look incredibly sweet.

I was at the NY WRAM show a few years back and this company had a nitro super charged v-8 engine there. It sounded absolutely unreal. They had the corresponding size corvette and dragster with replica v-8's mounted and running too.

Im pretty sure this isnt it but it looks cool non the less. you should get a car with this, now that would be cool!

That thing is intense. I think i may just get both. Still havent decided drag or drift.

Where does one source a drag rc car? I've been thinkin bout this for awhile (IE years) and have never taken action on it.
