The AP-2000i manual mentions an optional altimeter that can be connected to the AP. Does anyone know if this is available and if so if anyone is using one. Looks like a nice addition to the setup.

Rossco, that is a future feature Angelos has mentioned that provision has been made for enhancements, and this is part of the altitude hold function everyone is waiting for.

OK ... wonder if something like the Eagle Tree system (logger/altimeter)would work on the AP in the meantime?

I understand it works fine. The beauty of the Spartan feature will be its integration into the AP2000i, to actively set the altitude rather than jst record it.

- that will be great... hope that it arrives soon! I nearly bought a eagle tree system yesterday (about $100 AUD) but I reckon I'll wait a while now.
