I got mine an heli-world (Century). I do not think there is much difference between the two except in disc loading. Are you running a 6s setup?

I'm flying the RT 560s and I think they're awesome! Can't really speak to the differences between them. I would say that I'm spinning the 560s pretty fast already, so I'm not sure the extra head speed gotten w. the 550s would be beneficial.

You can probably expect the most agressive powered flight with the 550s and the smoothest flight (plus better auto performance) with the longer blades.

Steve

Hi.

If you want fast cyclics, and good collective, while sacrificing a little auto performance, get the Rotortech 560mm.

If you want a smoother blade get the Rotortech 550 blades. That is the difference. The 560 mm blades are more aggressive.

I guess the proof is in the pudding!

Trevor, any idea why the 550s fly smoother? Are they heavier or do they have their spanwise CG further out?Do you know if they were running faster or the same speed as the 560s? Very interesting that the 550s were smoother.

Hi,

The 550s are slightly heavier and do have the spanwise CG farther out. That is why they are smoother. They took the 550, made them lighter, moved the CG in a bit, and then added 10mm to get some of the auto performance back, and that is the 560 blade.

It applies to all the Rotortechs. The 610s are the 3D blade, the 600s are smoother. Same for the 710s vs the 700s.

Trevor.
