I'm buying a joker 1 to add to my fleet but can't decide what packs to run it on. I hear A123s are too tall for the battery compartment. 2x 6s1p 4900 FP would be nice, then it's the same as my TRex but I'm not sure they will fit (or if the Actro motor can take it)

What do you use in your Joker 1?

I ran two 5s6600 FlightPower packs (series 10s) in my stretched CX with an Actro 24-4

I would fly it for around 9-11 minutes and still have plenty of safe reserve.

What speed controller Ben? That will likely be the issue with 12s!

Packs...

I just got a joker 1 a couple weeks ago...I can fit 2 TP 6s 5000mah packs into it no prob...I should have it running this week...

I plan on trying it on 10s 3700mah first and then maybe going with a powerjazz and 12s ....

The actro 24-4 will handle 12s no prob...but the HS will have to be goverened down to a manageable place...which is no prob with the powerjazz either..

I have the Actro ESC at the moment but I'd go for the powerjazz for a 12s set up.

Thats really cool Jag72, it gives me hope that my 6s FPs may fit! Could you measure the width and height of your battery compartment for me?

Good luck with your setup, I'd love to hear how you find the diferent packs.

Joker battery Compartment

I measured mine and it's about 55mm wide and about 58mm tall....

The TP 6s 5000mah packs are 50mm tall and 45mm wide...so as you can see there is plenty of room for 2 of them...

12s 5000mah would be no problem...

Thanks alot for the measurements, it looks like I could get either TP, or FP 5s and 6s 5000s, even the new Air thunder 5s 5000 packs would fit, they sound pretty good!

I'm selling off nearly $5000 of AP equipment (all TOP notch stuff) as my photog partner is moving out of state and my setup demands dual operators.

I'm selling two unused - still in the package Tanic Packs (6 cell, 4500, 30C continuous) that I just got last week. These can be charged with a TP 1010 or comparable charger. Because of the extremely low internal resistance, these batteries run very efficient and will give you at least as much flight time as even a TP5000! Let me know if interested - I can throw in a silicone parallel adapter and free shipping.

Please respond via PM if interested. Once I figure out how everything will be 'parted out' I'll be putting everything in the proper Sales forum on this site.
