I have a Pantera and using the leading edge hole. I find that in doing stationary flips it is very slow but in FF it seems to roll well. My question is should I move to the back hole and what should I expect in FFF when I do?

The aft hole will make the paddle more aggressive, but it may be slightly pitchy in FFF. You can improve this by removing about an 1/8 of an ich from the paddle LE and rounding the LE for a fatter profile.

If you want to improve the flip rate, try increasing your cyclic pitch change rate (swash throw). It sounds like you may have more roll than pitch already in your setup from what you described.

You could also try running the longer flybar and installing the spacers under the balls to your flybar control cage.

I was running in the aft hole but I eventually changed back after a couple of really windy days at the field. In the wind, the aft hole made the helicopter a little too nervous for my liking.

THanks for the info. I am running 6deg on both elevator and aileron for the pitch and +-10 for main pitch. I will try the aft holes and see what happens. I was using the white paddles on my raptor and it was much better on the filps but we will see.

Welcome...

Try using around 7 to 8 degrees cyclic. Works great

If you find it too pitchy in FF, dial-in a bit of expo on your ele channel to slow the input into the swash.

I've been aft-hole, no mod to the paddle, 1 spacer on the hiller cage, metal swash plate (RJX) and Fromeco (9252s @ 6V) for most of this season...WOW...she can roll and flip!

Come see it at IRCHA...we'll be there Thursday through late Saturday hanging in the Audacity Tent...first tent when entering from the west parking location.

lotta ins, lotta outs
