Mine start the mid and high needle 1 1/2 turn using 30 % nitro fuel.Just follow the instruction in the manual book.Usually the finish setting is mid & high needle around 3/4 to 1 turn. But they can be different with the weather. Please note the high needle is the short one and the mid needle is the longger one.For me this kind of engine is easy to set ,not much tuning and not much wasting fuel to do setting and tuning.

One thing I was told by Todd this past weekend was to run the YS-91SR at a lower head speed than you would the OS arround 1800-1850rpm

ST vs SR

He has the YS ST, todd is running the YS SR long stroke like me. I'm running mine at 1900, It loves it there. Was Todd talking about the ST or the SR, because there is a big difference.

I have been running my ST's at 1950 on the head and they haul. One had bearing issues early but is fine now and the other has almost 100 flights on it.

ys 91 sr long stroke

The new ys long stroke is a beast... I set the head speed at 1800 and 1850....lemme tell you something...this thing pullls and pulls and pulls, and pulls....its sick. All foaming issues are gone. i dont feel like im missing any power since leave'n my sz behind..

if your in the market for a new 91 get the ys91 sr..its sick!
