I am currently using the Flightpower packs for my trex 600, but they are the 4900 20C packs. I am looking into getting the 25C packs for that extra "punch" but I am undecided as to which one!? I was just looking for some of your experiences with both or either one. I am tending to lean towards the Flightpower pack, but I'm not sure of what to do with the pack if it fails because they are an overseas company and Thunder Tiger is here in the states....what do you think?

THANKS!!!

both batteries are high quality but the FPs seem to ballance faster, wich tells me that they are more carefully matched.i currently run both types of 6s5000 and cannot tell a differance during use.

Awesome guys...thanks for the replies! I think I will stick with the Flightpower packs because when you are charging them there is hardly any balancing going on at all!! Love these batteries and now that I see I can send them back in the U.S. that makes it even better.

I have the TPX 5000mAH and the FP 4900 20c and the FPs have more punch than the TPX. You'll be better off with the FPs in my opinion.

When I first bought my 600E I bought one each of FP and TP packs. Both 25C models, 5000mah. I could tell a hands down difference in performance with the FlightPower pack. Sold the ThunderPower and bought more FlightPower packs.

Plus FlightPower's crash warranty and customer service is top notch.

Whats the diffrence between new fp4900 and fp5000 ?
the 5000 has 250amp bursts. the 4900 has 245amp burst.
and the rest goes down like that. do they fly the same?

The 5000 is heavier and it's 25c vs 20/22c for the 4900.

I've had to deal with both TP and Flightpower over bad packs-once each. Flightpower replaced the pack sight unseen on my word and TP waved me off. (FP sent the bad pack back to me.) I feel I owe 'em!

I have two damaged 6S1P 4900 packs due to hard crashes. FlightPower gave me a discount of 50% to buy two new packs. I just sent the pictures of the packs and my credit card number. They sent me two new packs in the same day. Excellent service!

Felipe.

The 4900 pack at first was a 20C pack...then was later updated to a 4900 22C pack, but the newest is the 5000mAh 25C pack. The 25C pack has much more "umph" on the high load demand from the battery, which helps prevent bogging of the motor and helps components from getting too hot.

Have you tried the Air Thunder 5000's? I hear they take a lot of abuse and are bullet proof. I hear they are currently being testing by being run down until the heli doesn't fly anymore and they still go strong. Test are ongoing but looking good. They are cheaper as well. I didn't read the entire thread so I apologize in advance if this was already suggested.
