Having trouble with my throttle jockey pro. I had it working, but made some changes to my throttle servo and cannot get it to work correctly.

I have using a Raptor .50, OS .50 and Futaba 9C super. I recalibrated the servo throws and it shows the governor coming on (green light) around 40-50%. The sensor appears to be working I get the red light when I turn the motor over. I have the settings in governor mode on switch E to 50% all the way forward mid position at 70% and all the way towards me at 80%.

If I pull the chopper into a hover and click to idle up 1 head speed drops slightly, if I click idle up 2 no change in head speed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rich.

The green light indicating the "on" condition should come on when the throttle is at 25%. If you're is coming on at 40-50% as you say, I would suspect that may be your problem.....

Get your instructions out and do the setup from square one.....

Keep in mind that your throttle ATV should be +/- 100 to begin with....

And, forget about the RPM calculator..... it's WAY off....

Per the instructions I have the ATV set at 90% and 90%. What does changing to 100% do?

I double checked the green light it is approximately 25% up on the stick.

I will go through and reset it up.

What is a good fast servo to use for the throttle?

Thanks in advance.

Rich,

Going 100/100 allows the unit to callibrate by seeing full stick travel....I believe the instructions I'm familiar with said to get your throttle adjusted to be as close as possible to that..... Your're at 90/90 and that's very close so you should be OK....

Folks have been using the Fut 9253/9254 on throttle but I'm not sure about longevity or the real need to use that type of servo. I use a standard servo and my TJP's work just fine....
