My Gohbee is temp grounded because I want to put my OS46 in it. Anyone try this? Just need to know if I need that brass collet on the crank shaft for the OS 46 or not. I know the Shuttles required them but no clue with Gohbee or Rappy.. Dont have one so kinda waiting on answer before I slap it in or buy one.. I am looking forward to seeing how she will fly as a 46 with 30 gearing. If no answer I will toss my TT 46 Pro H in it and go from there. Thanks for any info guys..

I don't think it would be to much of a problem. Just would have to watch for over speeding. A gov would be nice

I do not believe that they are. I do know the 32 and 37 are the same and its got just as much pwr or a little less then the 46. I had a 32 in my QWW pro and switched to the 37 and love it. In my second 30 size bird has the os46 in it and I still prefer the 37 and little better flight time with little less gas usage. I was clocked at 1960 with 9 tooth pinion and a 83 tooth main on 550s. on the 46 I was 2040 still running rich for run in. with 10 tooth pinion and 88 tooth main. YES thats too fast so I keept them rich, bc I dont run a gov, so had to adjust throtle and pitch crves to prevent overspeeding. but I love them both and just to let you know the have different motor mounts bolt patterns(32 and 46 different)(32 and 37 same pattern).

Thanks guys, Jeep I kno of the 37's as I have 3 and yes they are night and day over the 32. The 46 will take a 50 mount which is of no big deal as I have a few in my parts box. Head speeds I will play with till I find something that works for me. But a good set of curves and a fast throttle servo and you dont need a gov. Yes govs are nice but not ness till you get into constant 3D of which I am not near to. Just like to tumble around for the most. Had a Shuttle ZXX with a OS 46 in it and it would out power my Rappy 37v2. Wish I would have never sold the mounts for it as I would of liked to stick the OS46 in the Shuttle Plus I picked up. Just going to order that OS 46 collet for now and stick my TT 46 in the Gohbee. If I dont like it not a issue with converting back to the 32 that was in it. The os 46 will fit perfect with the 50 parts.
You will want to change the engine mount fan and gears to the ones for the 50. It will also be of great help to use the 50 boom belt and 600 blades.

The 30 gears will have the engine at a very high rpm that it is not made for and Connecting rod life will be short.

Hey thanks Flyin.. I do appreciate its. If I am going to stretch it to a 50 might as well toss a 50 in there.. No?? I can do the gears but was thinking of runnin 550s as its a 46 and not a 50. Would think it would help a little on the bogging.

The 30 gears will help the bogging but the engine will be running at or over red line to get the headspeed you need.

The 46 is dimensionally the same as a 50 and runs about the same RPM s, so you need to basically do the 50 upgrade.
You could do the 50 upgrade and keep the 550 blades and short boom and 46 engine, but I would highly recommend a gov, then you will have an unboggable machine.

I ran my QWW 30 with a 46 in it. I changed the pinion to a teen tooth. The stock one was a 9. I think the main gear has 83 teeth. I also lengthened the boom and ran 600's on it.....because 580's are such a pain to find. I loved the way it flew. I ran with low nitro and a hatori pipe and had great power with fuel economy.
