You can, the 9C has a setting for that, though I never saw the need.

My 10X airplane transmitter has flight modes which can be set however you like. It has throttle curves, gyro settings and dual rate and expo so you can have low control surface travel in normal or FM 1 and more throw in the other modes.
I use low settings for take off and landing and the high rate and 3D rate for aerobatics.

I was simply explaining a reason why some airplane guys, and me, like the ratchet on the throttle and was basically told, no thats wrong. Just because some new guy goes harder on the throttle in a headwind to make the TDZ, doesn't make it right. Not to mention, if the engine quits while the pilot it doing that, he's sure to land short of the runway.

Regardless of wind, I use the approx same power setting and adjust my glideslope by either decending earlier or later and eyeballing the angle, adjusting the throttle increments to maintain or fix the glideslope. Works out fine and my landings turn out very predictable and stable everytime. Oh well, I'll just keep to my wrong style of flying

No one said you were wrong.

The whole point was, its alot easier to fly a plane with a heli throttle stick than a heli with a ratcheted one, which is true.

In the mean time I'm going to stick with my newb method, its been working for me for a whole flying season or two.

My 10X airplane transmitter doesn't rachet, and especially like the throttle curve program so i can get a linear throttle response.
