Pyrock rrKey Veteran SF Bay Area | Does anyone know if the Neu 1910/1Y can be shoe-horned into the Hurri 550? If so, is it a good idea? I'm hesitant even if it does because I think the flight times with a Neu Motor on a pair of 3S 2200's will be real short and may even BBQ them. I guess it all depends on the gearing... Any input?Trex 500, Stretched Logo 10 3D, Ion-X, Gaui 200

sneu rrApprentice San Diego | I have been playing with one --- the 19 series could be put in the Hurricane with some work. First up you should get the larger first stage spur gear so you have a reasonable reduction ratio which also moves the motor foward some. The next thing to take care of is to use spacers to move the control bell-cranks out a little to clear the motor can.The project would be a bit like slipping a V8 into a Miata--enter the Monster Miata.Steve Neu

This is an 8s motor. You do not want to use it on 6s. Trex 500, Stretched Logo 10 3D, Ion-X, Gaui 200

![]() rrProfessor Dumont, NJ | PyrockThe other candidate would be 1509 with around 1800kv rating. This will require no linkage modification. It will however require using 61T 2nd stage spur gear. We will be doing this mod to our H550 sometime in the fall.www.JustinJee.com

wrathofkhan rrKey Veteran LA, CA - US | i am testing my Swift right now with a 1910H/1Y with a 5s setup. The data logger is showing that the amps i am pulling is high, but that is because the blades (1) i am using are heavy/long , (2) i have +/-13 pitch, and (3) bec. of my sub-par battery packthis weekend i will be trying out better battery packs and see how well/or badly my batteries perform. i will also test it with some lighter/smaller blades.the main reason i would keep this motor is because i can always upgrade in the future with more cells. it is quite large when i compare it next to my 1907/1.5y ... and had to shave the frames of my swift a little so then it could fit.my 2 cents ... khan<EDIT> when i mention high amp draw, it is still within my ESC's limit. i am using a 80-6-18, and so far the highest i have peaked at is 65amps (with tictocs). the ESC is warm only, and do note ... it is also powering my receiver. my main concern is the voltage drop ... for sure a 6s will handle the load easily, and the amp draw will be even lesser
