This should give you all the part numbers you will need to do the conversion. Not a cheap proposition.

Hirobo used to offer a conversion kit. I know because I did it to a shuttle about 2 years ago.

conversion

Why not just get the converion from Hirobo and keep what you already have for spare parts.

Good Luck;

Thank's for replys, I have a Clutch Bell and bearings, looks like about 63.00 worth of other parts if the one way bearing comes in the clutch like it shows in the pic, I think I have a hex to fit my starter.

NOT WORTH IT...

Sorry to say that but If I was you I will wait to get a better heli...

If you gonna do it it's better to get a shuttle plus kit and keep the spear part...

Honestly, I looked into doing this some years ago. When I got through figuring the time and hassle, along with the fact that the heli had some age on it, I just opted for another heli. At that time you could get a Hawk Sport for 149.00 The conversion was going to cost me right at 100.00 anyway....but if you're having fun, who cares.

He's already got some of the parts.
I personally don't think $63 is that bad for the conversion.
If it was bling for an EVO or Raptor, no one would bat an eye.
At least it's useful parts and the at least the Shuttle is still sold and supported by Hirobo.

Being I need a new ZX clutch bell (loose welds), rather than spend 24.00 on a new ZX bell I have a new ZXX bell and upper bearings so actually 40.00 + 24.00 for the ZX bell cost I will have the conversion done. I'm keeping this Heli for a scale body (top start is a must) when I move up to a newer Heli later, plus I have tons of spares and upgrades and most of it is new and it has full bearings and some upgrades. I had a Hawk before and I didn't like the wire taildrive, so I can't buy anything I want next without spending 400.00 for a Evo 50 or Raptor... plus more $$ for spares, I do have a new 50SX-H and a 91 C-Spec for later projects.

The ZX is a great bird. I don't like the wire drive on the hawk sport either. Seeing how you have most of the stuff, I think the best bet is to call Rick's and talk with the guy there that is listed for heli questions, I can't remember his name, but it's on the website. He can make sure that you have everything you need. I talked with him about converting my ZX.
Also, I know how you feel about top start with a scale ship. I had mine in a MD500 body, and belt starting is a pain with a scale body.
