I have a 7.4v 2400mah battery and was wondering if the cellpro 4s would work. I know that the cellpro 4s is also a balancing charger and I did not know if that would be a problem. Thanks Brad

I believe the Celpro is Lipo only.

I call FMA and they told me that it would work and to buy the node adapter so the charger will recognize the battery..

This is from the front page of the manual:

Charges Lithium Polymer, Lithium Ion, Lithium Manganese and A123© chemistries. Adapters are available from FMA Direct.

I understand that when I purchase the node connecter from FMA I have to cut the lithium ion pack open to solder it on. The Manual says that it will charge lithium ion batteries. You would think that you could buy an adapter for the charger to recognize the lithium ion pack instead of buying a node connector and cutting up your pack. You would have to do this every time you bought a ion battery so it would work for thier charger. It does work very well on lipo batteries and it will charge ion batteries but it diffinitly is not convienient at all.

If the pack is wired with a node connector, you don't have to open it. You can splice on the FMA node to it, making sure to get it wired in the proper order. The Cellpro has to read each individual cell in order to charge it

I have a deans connector on it (two wires from battery. I actually need three wires so solder on to. There is no way to get around it except to open the pack up. Thanks Brad
