Just got my parts for my mini joker to repair after servo failure.

What a pain in the arse trying to change the main shaft ! It was so tight I couldnt pull the head off and then I couldnt pull it off the main gears - I had to punch it through. And then to get the new one in - well I nearly through the whole lot out of the window. 5 hours later everything is back apart from the head. Cannot face doing anymore today !

Have you guys struggled with repairs after a crash?

This brand of heli is built to very tight tolerences. I had to replace an entire head on my joker2 after a crash. All because of a bent feathering spindle. I just could not get it out of the head or remove the bearings. I have had to use heat on several other parts to seperate them while doing repairs from the same crash (no problem there).

They can prove very expensive to repair. It is easy to see why though as they are so precise and well machined. When they are all smooth and straight they are fantastic helis - Just don't crash the bloody things !!!

I have heard the same said of the Henseleit models as well.

My Joker2 is now flying again better than ever but I am investing in a t-rex600 to improve my skills. My flying has not progressed due to fear of the repair bill if I crash the Joker2 again.

I agree with you guys. These machines are fantastic but not for everyday practice flying. I will not do anything with my mini that I haven't done a million times with my practice machines. I use the Raptor 90 for practice. They are cheap and easy to repair.
