Can someone please explain in simple terms how to activate the timers on the DX7? I pretty much just want to time my flight times to set off an alarm at 6 or 7 minutes. I know the radio is capable of this and thought I had it set up with "Down Time" (Thinking that means it's time to put the bird down) but nothing happens and it just stays at 6:00. What am I doing wrong?
Respectfully,
Ed

You need to manually start the timer with the increase/decrease button to the right of the screen.

Thanks so much Guys!

So much to learn about this hobby and I'm afraid I've started way to late in life. Bought a sim today and realized more then ever that this is going to be one of the most expensive hobbies I've ever gotten in to but I'm not going to give up. Now at least that I know how to work the timer, I won't be running by lipos down to 5%.
Thanks again!
Ed

Fly Air Thunder Lipo's and you can forget about timers, low voltage cut-off points, puffed cells and all the other stuff about lipo's.

Just fly until useable power is expended then land and recharge, it's really that simple, Guys, why do you persist with those old tech cells

Flying, crashing & having a ball.

Took me awhile but I finally got down to remembering to start the timer immediately after switching off throttle hold. I do miss the capability of starting the timer with the throttle I had on my Futaba...

Yep.
To boot, I am also into photography and airplane (full-size) flying.
Might as well get into bank robbing...
