My wife and I spent a whole week going through Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon, Zion Nat'l Park, and Sedona, Arizona.

We were both in awe of the majesty of these sites. If you have not seen these national treasures, go see them - go see them with your kids. They are simply stunning!

Some pics in my gallery!

I'm thankful that when my sister and I were little, my parents took us all over the country to see the natural beauty out there.

Nice pics, what did you think of the over hanging glass platform?

Thanks. I have maybe another 300 pictures!! Nearly ran out of electrons.

Sorry to say that I did not have a chance to see the overhanging semi-circular see-through platform. However, I am sure that it is scary as can be. I have stood on the glass platform of the Radio Tower in Toronto and find that while part of my brain says it's ok, don't worry, anoher part is saying step back!! A weird feeling!

BTW, I noticed that you are from Tahoe. I have seen almost every inch of that area and in terms sheer natural beauty, it is right up there with the best of them. The view of the lake from the top of Heavenly on a crisp, cold, winter morning is stunning.

My apologies for not including Lake Powell on the list. We did go there and I have added a sequence of pictures of the area from our hotel room, to My Gallery. Please take a look.

The last pic shows how low the lake water level is - we need rain!

I could not believe it but there is talk of draining the lake and returning it to its original state. I don't know how serious this talk is but apparently The Sierra Club is pushing for this.

BTW, I am guessing the drive from Prescott to Lake Powell is about 3 - 4 hours.

The people who want to drain the lake must not like drinking water or they don't live in the south west. With the way it's growing in southern Utah and other areas around here I don't think there is much chance of the lake getting drained. If the lake wasn't there many towns, Page AZ for one would just dry up and blow away. I don't think the powers that be will let that happen.

The parks in Utah are amazing places. Once summer is over I can visit them again, way to many visitors now though. I can step out of my front door, look east and see Zion NP, awesome.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Yes Tahoe is a nice place, but I have been here too long, I love the pics of the Grand Canyon. Places like that, Moab Utah, and Powel and many others are out of reach for some, so thanks for posting.
