hmm, the pocket lader doesnt do nicads or others
Yes it does almost everything. Very good unit. Flash upgradeable and computer conectivity. A lot more than a lot of other chargers in a small package.

Hyperion 1210i is the best charger for the price, hands down

-a123, emoli, lipo, nicd, nimh, even pb (lead batts)
-charge and discharge
-2s to 12s lipo
-selectable charge rate and capacity up to 10a, IIRC
-customizable charge profiles
-reverse polarity protection on charge leads
-balance tap port

$150 street price

I bought mine locally, but Hyperion is a well known brand so you should be able to get it at any decent RC hobby store. If that fails, good old google will point the way.

I like for 50 bucks the Hobico FFC. Does Lipos tor 3 cells[1 amp only] BUT it tops off my tx and RX ni cad and NMH packs with ease. Dont know what you need yours for as you didnt say .
I've had this thing for years and for a top off between flights of my nitro heli and TX its fine . I usually just top off my RX and bought a 1600 mah TX that will run my TX for close to 6 hours ..that was 35 bucks and worth it.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Another vote for Accucycle Elite by hobbico. In my opinion more bang for your buck then the triton. Mainly because it has two outputs. It also comes with a power supply that plugs into your wall at home. Only drawback is that it won't charge more then 3s lipos. Not a big deal as long as your not going to go bigger then a 450 size heli.

Forgot to mention the charger has 2 chargers built in so you could charge the TX and RX at the same time or 2 lipos or any combo

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

well.. now im really stumped, such a hard choice, more expensive, more battery options, has the latest technology in batterys, or cheaper, good for what i need at the minute, buy a better one when if ever i need it.

Are you planning on buying from LHS or online. If you are going to be ordering online, there is a canadian hobby supplier. If you are interested, I will get you their URL.

needs to be able to charge nicads and nimh and lith-ion, dont want to spend a fortune, it only for nitro rx bats...
This is the one I was speaking of,

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXCTZ5&P=ML

Only downfall i see is it can charge only up to 3 cell lipos at a max of one amp. I have a lipo only charger [astroflight 109] and put 2 lipos on the hobbico at 1 amp while charging one other with the Astroflight. At the field you can top off nicads/hydrides,and lipos,,
Not saying its the best but has worked well for me for 3 to 4 years.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Orbit registered trademark

I would still like to know how the Orbit radio trademark from the 60's made it's way onto a charger ?

Legoman, here is the url for the Canadian Online Retailer:

[url=http://www.greathobbies.com]

I'm looking at getting the Prodigy II that is carried at the LHS, and it is around $90-100cdn and does almost everything the Triton II does, just at a cheaper price.
