"That being said, ccpm is ccpm doesn't matter how you cut the pie, its the head that is ccpm. Now how its activated would either be E' or M'"

I agree with this. I believe that CCPM is from the swash up. Doesn't matter how you move the swash whether e, m, or telekinetic. Basically,

CCPM...swash moves up and down for cyclic and pitch...or

old true mechanical...swash is stationary..only tilts for cyclic...and pitch slider is used for pitch (swash doesn't go up and down). ( My old Kyosho Concept helis are like this)

ALL TREX helis are CCPM...doesn't matter what the servos do just somehow push or tilt the swash up and down to Cyclic Collective and Pitch Mix that sucker.

Trex 450 SE = CCPM swash control = TRUE
Trex 450 HDE - Mechanical swash control = TRUE but also a CCPM heli

"Heim invented the system in the 70s"

Did he invent the head part (swash manipulation for ccpm) or did he invent the TX mixing and servo layout part. Or did he invent both at the same time?

Please prove me wrong...but I doubt it was both at the same time. I think first to come would be more CCPM on the head then somebody (Heim?) figured out how to make the mechanics more efficient by reprogramming a TX to mix a new servo layout to manipulate the CCPM head.

Is there a proper timeline for all this. Does somebody have a link to one?

BTW, darkfa8...I have the uH frame also. As I recall, I remember using links from the T-REX CDE since the SE wasn't even around when the uH frame hit the market.

balbs, sorry, you're just plain wrong.

a Mechanical can't be a CCPM in any way, shape or form. It's not the swash or head that determines if the heli's cyclic/pitch inputs are Mechanical OR CCPM.

It is ONLY one OR the other, not both, not a combo, not a lil of this a lil of that, one or the other. I don't know where people get this jargon from but if you talk to a reputable source like Ray Hostetler, Curtis Youngblood, Jason Krause/Todd Bennet, Dieter Schluter, Jeff Green, they'll tell you there is only TWO seperate systems.

Anyhow, I got my uH framed Trex CCPM setup all done. Thanks!
