I am starting to feel guilty about the pre-sale of my DX7. I am doing to the buyer of that radio what Horizon is doing to us! It is a little ridiculous. While I am sure that Horizon couldn't do much to expedite the process, I feel they have a duty to provide more conservative shipping estimates to their customers, lest their reputation suffer as it has.

Christ, get over it, it is a radio for a toy. You're not going to die because you have to wait a few weeks. I want mine as bad as anyone else (I've already paid in full for it back before the Toledo show, the day they were announced), they will arrive, this is not the herculean struggle that your whining makes it out to be. It'll come.

ahhh...perfect self righteous form. The trivialization (it's just a stupid ball you're trying to hit into a cup, for chrissakes), the self contrast (I, on the other hand, am such and such that is grand), and the put down(get over it with the usual implications of being juvenile). It's hard to get it so right.

The trivialization (Your opinion has no validity), the self contrast (I, on the other hand, have a valid view, and can recognize your short comings), and the put down(I recognize that you are juvenile, and self righteous and will call you out on it). It's hard to get it so right.

Comments: I have to tell you I'm a bit disapointed in the lack of communication with reguards to the delivery date of the new X9303. I understand full well that new products hit snags but a month delay is a bit excessive in my book. I'm not sure if any of you visit any of the on-line fourm but rumors are rampant about your delays. I see now you have updated the delivery date on your site to late Aug. I think it fair to ask why the 30 day delay and can I expect my radio at the end of Aug?

Name: Mike Freas

Dear Mr. Freas,

Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for the delays that you have experienced in obtaining a JR X9303 2.4 GHz radio. We strive to provide our customers with the high quality, high performance products they have come to expect from us. As a result, delivery dates can sometimes be pushed out to ensure that the finished product measures up to our quality standards and meets our expectations.

Our system shows that we expect to receive our first shipment of JR
X9303 2.4GHz transmitters with servos (JRP2910,JRP2920) some time around the middle of August and we expect to receive our first shipment of JR
X9303 2.4GHz transmitters without servos (JRP2915,JRP2925) some time around the end of August. Again, we apologize for the delays that you have experienced and we thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,
Horizon Hobby Sales

and the hits just keep on coming!

At this point I'm going to start looking for other options. Maybe a 9C with a module. Tower has a big sale right now on radios.

I have given up waiting for the X9303 to arrive here in Oz , and it looks like you lot will have delay after delay . There is virtually no info on when or how much it will cost here . I have just bought a new PCM 9X V.2 ( USA version is 9303 ) without the RF module and am putting an Xtreme Link 2.4 gig module in it . From what I have read in these forums the XPS system is a bit better that the Spektrum module that some will use . It also only costs $21 for a new antenna that will fit into the existing antenna hole in the radio and it takes about 15 minutes to connect it to the module and you then have the antenna in the normal place instead of on the module at the back of the radio.
There is quite a bit of discussion in this forum about how to do it .
The end result is a new JR 2.4 gig radio that is as cheap if not a bit cheaper ( from what little info I can get ) than the new one due out in Sept / Oct / Nov . and I will have it in one week from now .
I think that this sytem will end up about as good a radio than the new one and I dont have to wait months to get it .

I thought about XPS for a couple of months. I didnt know how reliable it would be. And since I wanted a integrated radio instead of a module I was really waiting for the DX9 to come out. Then JR came out with the 9X and the 12X(supposely). I think it will be the best system when it comes out so I will just be patient and wait.

There are a significant number of flyers ( both Heli and planks ) who have been using XPS for months now and have nothing but praise for them . Do a search of this forum and you will be able to read the replies and have a look at rc universe as well as others .
The beauty of this system is that you dont have to buy several new RX's straight away as you can swap back to the old module and fly others helis / planks until you go all 2.4 gig Rx's later on .
I have two radios and my new 9303/XPS will have a Blade Type antenna in place of the JR original and not using the XPS antenna on the back , as such I cant swap between modules so I just use the old radio as well until I go all 2.4 gig RXs' and then sell my old radio.

I looked into the XPS system and read all the reviews. It sounds great. It seems like they haven't had many issues. At one point I would have bought there setup. But they never have the 9C module in stock. So they lost my order. Also the futaba 9C latency is going to be slower with the module. Then Jr announanced they were coming out with there new radios. And I would rather have a integrated radio.
I would like a 2.4ghz system now. As I had a lockout friday from a bad clutch bearing. Luckly it was acting strange so I bought it back and was at a 2' hover when it completely locked out. Only had to replace bearings and spindle.

Dear Mr. Freas,

Thank you for your inquiry. The due date for the JR X9303 2.4GHz transmitters without servos (JRP2915,JRP2925) was recently pushed back from late August to early September. We have been informed that we will not receive enough X9303 radios in this first shipment to cover all of our backorders, however, we will be receiving shipments of X9303s from JR throughout September. Upon receipt of each shipment, we will start to fill our backorders in the order in which they were received.

If you have any other questions, feel free to either respond to this e-mail or call us at 1-800-338-4639 and we would be happy to provide you with the information that you need. We apologize for this inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,
Horizon Hobby Sales

It's funny how in order to get the radio earlier you have to purchase there crappy servos with it. I guess it's a good business move.

I looked at the other options (XPS,FASST, moduels from Spec) and decided to stop crying and wait. I don't want to buy something I don't want just to get it sooner. Still sucks.

I too have been waiting for the X9303 w/ rx (no servos) since it was announced in April/May. I already sold my regular 9303 w/ synth. module and rx in anticipation of the X9303. Since it has been delayed, I went ahead and picked up a DX-7 to hold me off until the X9303 arrives. I am still going to buy the X9303 and may sell the DX-7 later. From the extremely fast response I ma getting on the DX-7, I can only imagine how quick the new 9303 will be.

IMO I think the 9303's programming is the easiest of all the upper mid range radios. I definitely think that this radio will be worth the wait. The servo sync function itself is absolutely awesome.

Good things come to those that are patient.
