Thanks Guys. Hannah got a kick out of seeing her name and Opus in big lights. She just got into glider flying with me and will no doubt go the heli route as well. Where is my checkbook?

I will post the pics as soon as I get a chance to work them up.

Had a great time, John and Jim and all those who helped out, thanks you guys it was a good time. Brian will have his 50 up and running before no time. Had a blast streching the legs on the Bergen Turbine. John we need to get together when it's not so windy and let you try the Turbine again. Again thanks for a great event and some great food.

THANKS!!!

Hi guys,

I am finally moving around again, a little worn, burned, and mosquito bitten - but smiling

We really want to thank you all for coming down and making the event what it was. It is the pilots that truly make an event a success and we couldnt have asked for better participants. Also thanks to IRCHA for creating this program - it is a great tribute to the hobby.

A big thanks to Leslie, Steve, Ryan, Nik, Jake, Duane, John's boys, Michael, and MANY others for helping John and I out so much this year. We couldnt do it without you guys.

Lastly on the thanks list, but not least, are the event sponsors. You truly made the raffle great, a bunch of great items were given away and we certainly hope those at the funfly will take the time to visit your shops and at least thank you. I think they will judging by the generousity you all displayed. Some Dudes Hobby and MWH Blade Graphics were both on hand with special event deals that most of us could not pass up . We really appreciate them for bringing their stores to the field. I will list all the sponsors at the bottom of this post. Thank you!!

We had a great time. The wind was strong at times, but the flying never really stopped. There was no real drama (besides a few seconds with a turbine ), no fights, no flight line hogs, etc. We all had a blast this weekend. I enjoyed the contests on Saturday - we really got to see some great young talents in the hobby!! The food was excellent, Rib City really came through I also had a blast with the night flying on Saturday with helibird and kingair - it was great watching them spot auto their little Trexes in the night. John also could not resist it and was sure to auto my Mini Titan a few times as well and it even still worked for me afterwards Really enjoyed it all. It was good to see some old friends from so many places and to make new ones as well.

Just wanted to thank you guys again for the support, PLEASE take the time to thank IRCHA, and consider joining them, for putting on these events and for giving normal clubs a chance to host them.

I will post some pics shortly, but I did not take too many this year and Leslie had her hands full with the kids much of the time. If any of you have some good pics from the funfly please email or PM me so I can get some of those from you for the club website. Post them here as well

FYI - We are already planning for a funfly next year, we are hopeful it will be an IRCHA event again, but if not - there will still be one. - Jim

Back home from a great event.

Big thanks to all the guys in UHA that make this FF happen. This by far my favorite FF of the year.

Flying was good a little windy at times but really only Fri afternoon did it stop us from going up. There was some great young talent their, eeeky & MAVERIK had some awsome flights and were great to watch. Their also was a younger (someone told me he was 12) pilot from LV that's flying was excellent.

We had a ball on Saturday night with a little night flying and thankfully no mishaps.

Thanks again especially John and Jim!

You got that right. I have had a night flying curse for a while now - five times in a row I had a mishap night flying. I was a bit shaky the first couple of flights Sat night, but by the third I was beginning to get into it again I left my night gear on the Mini so I can do some more during the week Take that curse

Here are a couple of better pics of John's award. Thanks Brent for taking them!

Thanks John & Jim,

John & Jim,
What a great FunFly! We all appreciate all your hard work and year long efforts to bring this event to pass. Thanks to your families for their sacrifice in allowing you to spend time with us. You both have done much to further the hobby here in Utah.
I'm sorry that I could only spend one day at the FunFly. It was a bad year at the Air Races in Reno. Three pilots lost their lives this year.
Thanks Again,
Brent

Beautiful area

Was not at this event but I really like the pictures of this flying site and the mountains around it. This is such a beautiful area. It is a pretty good distance from me but maybe I can visit someday and see the area plus come to the event. The town out in front looks so picturesque, probably a nice place to live too

R/Chelicop, definately, its the most awesome place to fly ive been to! Ample room for some nice 3d action. Zach, thanks, i wish you have david would have participated, your both awesome pilots! My tail kept blowing out with the chopped down vblades (from 105's to 80's, and theyre hollow...This bit me in the butt!)

The 12 year old from LV was awesome too, his name is ben. Great little guy!

Thanks!

Thank you all for coming. It was a great success, and all because of you guys who came and flew. Seems like every fun fly i have been to or hold, the heli guys always support and help each other. It amazes me how everyone gets along and has fun. Fun Flys are alot of work, but worth every bit, when i see all you guys come and support it. I want to thank you guys again, and hope to see alot of you at the next Fun Fly i attend.
