I'm working on a lot of stuff for my website but I thought this one would be appreciated if I released it earlier.

I'm doing a parts helper for My Fury Extreme and my X-Spec. The Fury Extreme one is taking longer because they didn't have the exploded parts in the manual like the X-Spec does.

Here's the link:
http://www.augustoheli.com/PartHelpers/

It'll help you when putting together orders for replacement parts.
It has links to Rick's and also Heliproz.
Not all parts linked are available yet at both websites so if you can't find it in one then go to the other one and see if they have it.
Once you're at their websites just add them to your shopping cart.

Enjoy,

Augusto.

Ken, think for half a second... Why in the HELL would ricks or heliproz want to change their sites so this feature on aug's site won't work... They should be paying him! Its gonna send them so much more business.... I bet ricks and heliproz will be rolling out the red carpet for him...

you guys are welcome.

Mike,
After all the flying I did in Florida I haven't flown in a couple of weekends so I had some time to play with this. It occurred to me that every time I have to buy stuff I got to go find the damn manual and type everything so I thought it would be better to type it once and be over with it.

Volkul,
the page is generated automatically from a script so any changes they do can be automatically generated.

Because of it being generated it's easy to include other stores so what other online stores would you guys want included?
I was thinking Zoom probably. The store has to have enough stock to be worth linking. I haven't used MTA's online one but I'm planning on taking a look at it. Anyone cares to make suggestions on what stores to have?

Also I started with the two most popular 90 sized ones but I'm planing on doing the Raptor and a few more.

The final feature in my site will be to have the whole shopping cart priced at the online store of your choice.

Augusto.

You should do the Raptor, it shouldn't be too tough because parts aren't too hard to find . I have to thank you for your video server too, i've downloaded a ton of videos and they're all really nice. I'm a big fan too, i love it when you do the rolling tailslide to funnel in the video "nice weekend", i love the music too.

Great job. I did'nt reliaze that when you click on the part number you are re-directed to the vendor's site. - This is excellent.

It would be great if the vendor's site poped up in a new window, so one could continue to pick parts from your site using the part number. - probably result in multiple shopping carts though !

By the way - all the regular flyers at Markham Park now have a cyclic tavel limiter.

GREAT JOB
Augusto

Sure is nice to know that fellow modelers like you are working on things that benefit the R/C Helicopter group in our hobby/sport.

Thanks from all of us.

P.S. Get one of those SouthWest Airlines super saver fairs and come visit us in Tampa on February 22-23, 2003. Love to have you and your friends come.

Neither Ricks nor Heliproz makes it very easy to find heli parts, Ricks is certainly easier for finding MA stuff. Good job and waiting for the Fury pages!

spyder354,

The raptor one is in the works.

elvis,

You were right it's a lot easier and it only took a line of code.
Thanks for the idea. Your suggested modification is now online and the shopping carts still work even when you close the windows.
Regarding the cyclic rings, did you guys remember to get it with the state-of-the-art chopstiks modification that someone posted in here or not? hehehe

HelicopterHohn,

Thanks for the suggestion but I was in Florida visiting my wife's family for new years. Now I'm going to the Vegas Fun Fly so I don't think I will be able to get on a plane and go to Florida until next year. I wish I could be there if only to meet with SENECA a.ka. "The Evil One".

Greger,

I'm working on both the Fury and the Raptor ones. They should be ready in a couple of days.

The Fury one will be there in a couple of days.
I think the Sceadu should also be there. I need to get some .PDF files of the manuals so I can get them all done quickly.

By the way, I finally figured out how to get Zooms and MTA to work with it too. They use an internal part number so it was a bit more difficult.

I only have the first page of the X-Spec one working as a test.

Here's a link to test the Zooms one:

http://www.augustoheli.com/PartHelp...tPage1Zooms.htm

and here's a link to test the MTA one:

http://www.augustoheli.com/PartHelp...istPage1MTA.htm

Here's a link to all the pages:
http://www.augustoheli.com/PartHelpers/X-Spec/index.htm

As usual just hover the cursor over the part number and click to get to the page.

I need to get some feedback and ideas like elvis did before I finish them all so I can do them all with all the modifications and suggestions already in place.

OK all the stores are now active in the Parts Helper page.
I'll do the same for the Fury and Raptor pages.

This thing makes it super easy to find a part in any store.

Enjoy,

Augusto.

The Fury drawings are up and a test page with hot links (the first one only) is also up.
I'll work onthe rest in the next couple of days to get the Fury one online too.
Just be patient. I didn't realize that the Fury one has 47 freakin drawings instead of the six ones the X-Spec had.

Here's a link to the page:
