I was checking screw and bearings before putting my Venture together and I noticed that a screw was socket was stripped. I'll be sending it back to Horizon especially since the wrapping in one of my blades was open.

The striped socket was in the swatch hub of the main blade. I don't know if I'm entirely confortable taking it appart just to send that piece.
Do you think that I should just suck it up and take it apart or should just send the entire heli?
Who handles shipping charges? How long should I expect to have it back.

Thank you

Well first you will have to call Horizon and inform them of the problem so they can give you the proper instructions on sending the damaged part or heli back to them. They will most likely give you a reference or id number and a RMA number to write on the box when you sent the item back to them for warantee coverage.
Don't just send it back to them without contacting them. They might just send it back without even opening it and you will have to pay for the return shipping. Maybe they will just take your word for it and send you a new part without having the other one returned.

Good Luck.

JR

The guys at horizon take care of you when you call. My Venture threw a blade grip and bent the tail shaft on the first flight. They sent me new parts free of charge.

JR and Horizon is the best!!!!!!!! I had a Jr 537 servo go bad on my Venture and it caused me to crash. I called Horizon and in less than 48 hours I had over $60 in new parts and a new servo on my door step. They are the best and I will always buy JR when I can.
