It seams as though Horrizon is not going to import the new JR Gasser and the MA bird is kind of long in the tooth. Has anyone heard of any new designs to be released in the next year. I would love to get a gasser

Not new but it will look that way soon. Testing of the new G26 is going well. Flies at least as well as most any 60.

If you haven't seen one of these fly yet, you should hold off judging gassers to harshly.

I LOVE my Intrepid Gasser,

Seems to me the engine that I'm running didn't need to be converted from either version. I pulled it out of the box and slammed it into the bird. So my guess is that it is a heli version, but it is just a guess. Like I said, I did not need to do any sort of converting, except the aluminum base plate had to be removed and the Bergen G-10 plate put in its place. Typical of the G23 heli version.

BTW the first canopy is out of the mold and looks great.

Neither, its the new G260PUH heli version. I am not sure of the availability.

Malorie, I don't know if Larry mentioned it, but I just stuck one in my Observer. I have yet to even fire it up. You know not enough hours to the day. Any advice or suggestions on set-up and break in. Are you running the auto balancer?

Nice looking work there Malorie!

Let me know when the canopies are done, I want to build an intrepid around one

Thanks, Flyboy

How about building an Intrepid INSIDE one?

I birthed the first canopy yesturday and will be headed to Larry's tonight to work out the mounts. So things are right on schedule for it. I'll post pix here after I sling some paint at it this weekend.

Yes, I am running the auto-balancer. The engine sets up the same as the G23, nothing special except for the POWER!!! The needles were set a touch richer if I recall.

Good luck,
Malorie

Paint Job

Wow, Mal, I think I just fell in love again, I've gotta copy that paint job if you don't mind! Can't wait to see that one fly. If it's anything like Chris's gasser that I flew last year at B'ham it'll be a winner.

Best to Ya

Thanks Ron,
There isn't any copyright on the paint sceme.
BTW, my gasser flys MUCH better than Chris', that is until he converted it to fly like mine.

I'll have to let you take mine out for a spin (pun intended).
WARNING!:
Once you fly it, you'll think twice about flying those glow machines.

Actually if you do a search on the Voyager GS, I did a mini-review of it. It's a nice machine, price is reasonable, good solid performance. It's a a wee bit bigger compared to the X-cell gas graphite, but a lot less hefty and complicated compared to the Hirobo Eagle GS.

The Voyager GS uses eCCPM, comes fully ball bearinged (no bushings) and includes a all metal swashplate with fiberglass canopy.

I would've loved to add one to the fleet, but gassers just don't get my adrenaline going compared to nitro helis.

The only issues I have with it (also with most gassers) is you have to make sure your electronics are properly mounted to prevent unwanted glitches.
