I've now decided to upgrade both Freya's to 11 tooth pinion to go with the OS 70.

Anyone know part numbers, who stocks them, price?

Thanks in advance

ronlund has them but I think he
no longer ships to South Africa.

Should be available from any well
stocked Hirobo dealer. The one
Cyberheli sells is NOT made by
Hirobo.

Thanks guys - I actually just answered my own question just about a minute after hitting enter.

Yeah - Ricks has stopped shipping to South Africa. Apparently the postage system sucks here..

Just checked out Cyber - they have the (non-standard) part listed for $20-00. Heliproz has the genuine Hirobo artical, but at $35-00.

Any comments on the non standard article?

that price for the hirobo one is about
'average'. They aren't cheap.

The ones that Cyber sells have the
same gear pitch and profile as the
10T whereas the Hirobo one (on the
12T at least), the profile changed a bit
(the teeth were much squarer) so the
pinion diameter wouldn't change.

The Cyber one has diameter that is
slightly different and may affect
mesh in a way that would be hard to
correct on a plastic framed machine.

Cyberheli 11T Pinion
I have the Cyberheli 11T Pinion. I installed it prior to my firist flight and it has given me no problems with about 300 or so flights. No gear mesh adjustment was necessary. I just screwed the old one out, screwed the new one in, fueled and flew.

The verdict is in. Thanks for the replies.

I'll place my order just as soon as I can get to the manual ordering page on any of the 3 Cyberheli websites..

BTW - any problems with installing it? I've heard that all you have to do is unscrew the old and screw in the new.

thats it. no need for loctite either.

make sure to not cross thread the clutch
bell. You'lll want to locitite the 2500-049
bearing to the top of the pinion.

Kirk, I cant comment on the 93/11 with the OS70, but it is the ticket for the YS80. I 1st ran the YS80 with the 95/12 and it perfromed ok, but after I installed the 93/11 it made a world of difference. Daz...
