So what would it take to convert a 50V1 to a 50V2 and how much

I figure
V2 frames
fuel tank (are they using the 30V2 tank in the 50V2 ?)
new canopy and shorter post supports
blade grips
spindle
thrust bearings
pitch arm ( i can skip this since I had already upgraded to metal)
starter shaft - any different bearing ? pinion gear ?

Thanks in advance

It can't be that bad to convert ! This the original 50 not a 30 converted to a 50 so it already would have the better tail grips, swash plate, and frame brace. plus I already have some nice CF blades on it and lots of purple upgrades

Your going to need the pinion, clutch bell housing, pinion bearing, start shaft bearing, start shaft, thrust washer, fuel tank, blade grips, thrust bearings, radial bearings, spindle, head block, dampeners and frames and the driven tail. I think that covers it. Might have left something out, but someone else might chime in. The biggest thing is the head assembly. Look for a manual and see exactly what you need.

It's $189 @ Heliproz for the 30 conversion. I would assume the 50 to be about the same.

also the new swashplate, very nice. and it apears that the whole thing is just alot better quality. e.g. the bearing collars are the right length so you can torque them up without crushing the bearings.

I agree with Tim, at cyberheli, the 50v2 kit is only $299. At $189 for the conversion for the 30, you might as well spend the extra money and get a fatory 50.

The 30 Conversion kit works for the Raptor 50 V1 to a Raptor 50 V2. My Raptor 50 V1 is flying great and I haven't experienced any of the problems reported. I have about 180 flights on the heli with two crashes. The only mods I made was the Ron Lund constant tail drive and the third bearing block for the starter shaft. I'm going to wait until I have a bad crash (it evently happens) and purchase the 30 Conversion V2 kit to fix the heli with. Just my two cents worth.

I work to play!
