Dang i was flying my best ever today ,square forward flight circles about 100' up and then all of a sudden the motor started to bog and down it went ,i fed in full collective to no avail and CRASH,WHAT THE F#&* HAPPENED.upon inspection one of the swash plate balls unscrewed at the link going up to the bell mixer, shame on me .My first instinct was to blame century but when i looked at the instructions your suppose to lock tite these balls "I DIDN'T" so fellas dont forget to glue your balls or they will fall off HA HA.
lets see, crash kit, bell mixer, one grip and a long ball shouldnt cost too much but that big hole in my pride OUCH!!!!! ill be up and running tommorow.
so glue"lock tite"your balls boys heliman100

I'm glad that you found the problem so quickly. It's a good reminder to check everything. I'm also glad to hear that you did not blame Century Helicopters. Too many people try to blame the manufacture for the cause of their crash when it obviously it's the builder/flyers fault. I better check all my screws to make sure they still have lock-tight.

Sorry about the crash.

Was it a standard Hawk or a Hawk Sport?

The reason I ask is that the Sport's swashplate is pre-assembled and therefore should already be 'loctited' in accordance with the instructions - or should I be checking?

Cheers,

Nigel
