picture of train bridge

I took these pictures over the weekend. I think this bridge holds some record like the longest double track bridge in the U.S or somthing like that. I got a little nervous when the train came along because I didn't know if they would worry about a weird looking remote heli hovering around a bridge. It was going prety slow so I was able to get the train in the picture.

Not too much caution there!
Looks like they might loose a few kids over the edge from time to time.

No they havent lost anyone, its been going for over 50 years.

Check this.

There are two bars running across those windows where they are sitting (leaning on bars) and inside the windows the ledge is as wide as a seat so they are not sitting in the sill.

wowzers...
my favorite is the Union Pacific train (Familycamp_008.jpg)
i would recommend aligning the horizon for the final polish...

Puffing Billy is killer too, sorta Harry Potterish minus the riders hanging out of the box cars...

cheers,
jeff

STELLAR!

I just soiled myself, those are some of the nicest pictures that I have seen.

I love the depth of the colors, those greens really jump out at you.

Nice work!

daggit, yes that is the DesMoines river. The bridge is between Boone and Ogden Iowa. You have to drive on a gravel road to get to it.

I drug my wife out of bed at 3:30AM today (not her time of day) to come along on my laundry route and run the camera. It rained cats and dogs ALL day except for about an hour at 10:00am.

My customers at this stop goaded me into giving a demo flight, thought I'd share pics of my groundstation. (click to enlarge)

one of the guys made the comment "... and here I thought you were just a lowly laundry guy" lol

by the time we got to the main objective it was pouring again...

Jeff,

Do you need to crop any distortion due to that 20 mm lense?

Hey Ethan,

Got the wife out of bed at 3:30 to take pics?. Good joke - you nearly had me going.

Next you'll be telling us that the shot was for the June RVP thread

JohnC

ps. I think you caught a rare grass-circle in the bottom left of your pic.
