Great shots

The last one looks as though you can see the curvature of the earth

Probably a trick on the eye, great none the less.

Thanks for the complements guys

Lee - I guess a little lens distortion adds to the effect.

Jeff - Slime green water, bring on the summer!

Great pics Mark !!!
Always wondered what it would look like from my heli when your doing a test flight behind your shop. I especially like the river photo over the marina. How high was the heli when these photos were taken?
Can't wait to see your new set-up

Hi Dave

Not sure how high it was, it was still easy enough to see though. Have gone to over 2000' in the past. My guess this flight reached 700' to 1000'.

I say we invent a game for your pics. It's called "how many swimming pools are in this photo".

nice pics as always

all dressed up with nowhere to go...

The watertower pulled up it's britches today, looks like a giants' garbage can.

(click for big pic)

all kinds of racket under there while they sandblast, I couldn't hear my heli up there.

Excellent shots Ethan!

I like the progression shots of the skirt going up.
Those series of shots are worth a couple thousand words, and a few $$ from the local media and chamber!

cheers,
jeff

spectators… shouldn’t they be doing some work?

I was taking some aerial photos nearby when I noticed this lot of people watching us watching them watching us….

Anyway, the photo gave me some ideas… I am sure they need photos for their website or advertising. Something nice, like a wedding marquee near a lake or castle. Or something more professional, in an exhibition centre for example.

thanks all,

I took the first pics of the water tower just because I liked the subject. I've since been comissioned by the city to take progress shots for $$.

That's cool, I wanted to do it anyway

my wife called me a half hour before this shoot because her car broke down, I told her I couldn't do anything about it until after I took some pics, quess where it is...

under the watertower.

Boy I sure do. I spend as much time with this as I do my "real job", but it doesn't feel like it.

There are 18 gates you have to slalom through on this stretch during the Bigfork Wild Mile whitewater fest.
