I hear you. I just finished flying the maxi joker with one of the M30 airfoil mounts with a four hundred dollar sony single ccd chip.

I have to say that even though this is one of the first crude attempts with this set up. This is HANDS DOWN the nicest aerial video that I have ever seen. The combonation of the airfoils isolation and the almost nonexistant vaibration of the electric helicopters blew my mind.

Oneword disturbing.

I was over at a friend house watching the footage on a New hi def 60" plasma Tv with a S video cable. my friend and I were absolutely blown away. When we were done we switched to some discovery channel that had a bunch of full scale helicopter footage on it, we didn't only match the quality of footage, in some cases we exceeded it.

We do have some set up and details to work out with the helicopter, but I know what you mean about the industry. A very innovative time to be doing what we are.

"No you can't see it. Go fly your own."

Waiting for the New mac to arrive, should be another week, week and ahalf. The pc I have at the moment will not handle it.

I have seen your footage & I know that you know what I am describing.

Stick a polarizing filter on the camera next time then we will be able to see through the surface reflection to the Moby Dick that lies beneath !

Playing around tonight...

enlarge to see helicam reflection in the window...

I was hovering about 20ft from the sound meter which read 59dB
60 dB = normal conversation

Thanks...

I may have to give this another try on glassy water.
The double pane glass gave me a duo-blur reflection effect
that I wasn't expecting.

Cheers,
Jeff

me, my ship and 30-40km winds.... and blue sky

Flyboy: Thanks. I am glad I got this ship up aswell.

I recently had her up in 30km winds, gusts to 40km and she handled great with the gear on!

This shot is a picture of a dirt pit, alot of dirt bikes and quad's off road and hang out here.

It was early morning nobody around but me, my ship and 30-40km winds.

here is my ship:

Dean,

That is probably the most scenic dirt bike course I've ever seen.
Fascinating!

Here is a quick test shot before we go back for evening sun.
This is one way to double your shore front property:

btw...there is an Eagle in the dead tree (lower right)...

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks Travis!

btw...do you stick to smooth surfaces when you haul around your gear in the BOB trailer?

I have a few places that are single track that I'm wanting to try with the Joker. I would like to get by without a shock if possible.

Cheers,
Jeff
