TrackHead, no fears with cold affects on plastic links etc.? I've taken photos down to 15 degrees with no problems, but not very often.
Nice photos by the way.

So far I've flown about 30 flights in temps below 25 degrees. 6 flights today at temps around 10 degrees.

The last flight, after the heli was sitting for an hour, it almost felt like the servos were jerky or something. Or maybe it was the helicommand. It went away as the flight progressed.

Are there dust magnets in the sensor?
Mine catches dust something terrible too. From what I've heard it may have something to do with a static charge on the sensor. So unfortunately the answer is Yes!

Be careful here. In my opinion what you may have felt was the ball links tightening up on the studs from the cold.
Remeber high school physics. Plastic will shrink and get brittle at is gets cold/freezes.
Sounds like you had tight links then as you flew the "warmed" up due to friction.
The bad news is what kind of loads did it place on your servo's and how close could you have been to a failure of a link or servo.
I would not leave the helicopter sitting out exposed for that long as a matter of course.
Maybe some kind of blanket affair to retain some heat while it is sitting.

Plus the LiPo's are not going to be happy and produce less energy when cold. That includes any kind of RX pack you may have.

Studio Construction

that Ad Agency/Prodction Studio I contract for is building a new 5,000 sq. ft. sound stage and editing/effects suites next to thier admin. offices.

Shot a pano for them today. For some reason the colors really seem to sizzle on this shoot today. and we're finally starting to see some fall colors out here!

Logo 700.

here's another from the Logo I shot for a Honda dealership on Friday. We were just starting to get in some stormy clouds and weekend rain.
