Can I use the Quick UK standoff control balls on the cyclic servo horns for connecting to the push rods for my Raptor 50SE? If yes, which one should I get as there are quite a few different options in RonLund.

QUKHP-01 STAND OFF CONTROL BALL - 4MM
QUKHP-02 STAND OFF CONTROL BALL - 6MM
QUKHP-03 STAND OFF CONTROL BALL - 8MM SHORT THREAD
QUKHP-06 STAND OFF CONTROL BALL - 8MM LONG THREAD

Thanks,

Rudy

Hey,

Unfortunately not no, the standoff balls are M3 threaded and would be too large for servo output arms, the threaded portion of the standoff is normally too short to be screwed through the servo arm and then secured by a nut.

Are you having clearance issues with your linkages? i have had some clearance issues in the past on my raptors when using output discs on the servos, what i did was to use either an output ball made by Robbe or some made by Miniature Aircraft.

Hope this helps,

I would not recommend using them in any platic horns or arms. As mentioned, they are 3mm and the threads are not long enough to get a nut on the back side to secure them.

I use them all over my Raptors, but I'm using the QUK alloy servo arms. I drill and tap the servo arms for M3 threads and Loctite them into the arms.
