wow i never thought this could happin to me but i havnt flown for almost a year. i got on the sim and had to teach my self how to fly again. i fly a raptor 50se and i got up this morning with all my equipment charged(so i thought) andheaded to a park where i could fly. right before i left i realized i had no ignitore. i barrowed one from a friend, and headed to the field. when i got to the field his ignitore was dead. i ended up taking my dads pager battery and starting my heli that way

so when i finally got in the air my left leg was shaking like crazy. i have not had that happin sense i had the training gear on! and my left thumb wanted to shake too making the helil hop up and down about 3ft...not good. the only time i was ok was when i took the heli in the air and didnt have to keep it in one place.

bottom line i need to get back out there and get the shakes out after that ill be back in the game! feels good to be back though!

I'm sure it doesn't help, but just in case you don't already know, flying a heli is not something you forget. It's a muscle memory/reflex thing, and once you've learned it, it's still there. No, you may not be able to go out and do 3d, since that's more of a skill that you can get rusty on, but you'll be able to hover, and do forward flight etc just fine once the nerves calm down. I was away from helis for about a year and a half once while I was in college and flight school, and when I picked up a transmitter again, I could still do all the basic stuff without thinking about it. You'll be the same way, just have to get over the nerves.

lol actually i couldnt hover because of the shakes but i could do 3d lol. i couldnt hover so i put mac + collective and shot into the air then went into ff and rolled around and fliped and autoed a couple times but hovering was bad if i tried to hover i would have crashed

Go to the Sepulveda Dam Flying Field in the valley, on any week end (provided it’s not raining) And we will get your bird flying, we are very supportive, and we have a big raptor population just get down to the heli area (far end near the bathrooms) and scream for help!
See you there.

Dimmit..I can stop this anytime I want..no..really I can

I brought out the T-rex instead of the raptor today. my legs were shaking, and the wind was so strong, the T-rex was bouncing in the air even on idle up. I did to do some loops and roll and almost lost it during the roll. But it was worth it, the first stick time since god knows when.
