Hello,
I have a very bad experience with my new Hyper 50, after 4 gallons (Included de break-in) the engine fails, the piston, ring, linner, etc. are very damaged. I am retuning this to the OS peolpe but the problem is that i live outside of USA and i need to wait 2 or 3 months.

I have a question: I am learning basic 3D flight, is a good choice the TT 50 with a MPII and 15% fuel in a Raptor 50 SE?
I have one TT 50 in the box but i want to be sure that this is a good option before to install this.

Well I'm sorry to hear about your experience with your hyper 50, but I would still be more opt to use that motor than the TT one!! I would put another hyper 50 in and yes I would definitely use the MP2 pipe with not 15% but 30%!!

I have 3 Hyper 50 motors with MP2 pipes, all of which see pretty hard 3D, and have no problems at all. Just make sure that they are tuned properly and the fuel is not sitting in them after the end of the days flights, and the motors should last a long time.

The tt50 will just do fine for the time being. If you experience a lean mid-range with it, do the needle mod. I have used both and they are just as reliable as each other. There is difference in power, but the tt50 is not so weak that you cannot do 3d with it. Probably something like power(tt50) to sustain a tic-toc vs power(hyper) to do climbing tic-toc.

I would put the TT50 in and get it tuned with the CYMP and fly the hell out of it and don`t look back . Remember the LS needle controls about 3/4 of the carb opening , so richening the top end will have little effect on that part. HS needle on full power climb outs. Hope this helps . I have 2 of these enginges and I like them and I have 2 Hypers and they are alittle powerful but thirsty also . Put it in and have fun .
