Thats a common misconception, its because the camera viewer is focused on a small amount of background. Its a bit like the difference between driving a car looking just in front of the bonnet as opposed to looking a lot further down the road. The sense of speed is slower the further you look ahead.

But the real question is what happenend?? Did the rex cut the N9 boom off??

Hi Guys,

Nothing on the helicopter tail broke in flight, think i was a little light on the locitite while assembling those 2 bolts holding the tail gear box on which is rather unusual for me as i use a tonne of that liquid gold (blue).

Cheers

Nigel

Cool so the N9 is running a belt drive option now??

Nigel great flying, the indoor trex 600 vid still ranks up there though!! Not so much light on the loctite, more like hard on the machine

What you thought was the belt is the torque tube. If you look carefully you can see the 2 bearings on it. How much damage was done to the main heli?

This flight was at a event here in Brazil. Nigel Brown and Marcus Kim were flying together (N9 and Trex 600). The flight was incredible, and for my luck I was there. Nigel was doing a inverted flight when he loose the bolts of the tailbox. I think that he used less loctite than usual or did not tight enough. Nigel was incredible, all his flights were amazing and lower. What a pilot and what a heli too...Synergy is really good, after see him flying a N9, I had no doubt and bought one. Nigel, hope to see you again flying with us. UHHH CACETE (Nigel is going to know what it means...hehehehehe)
