What is Alan Zabo JR setup on a Trex600? I watch him flying it at the 2006XFC. Is this setup the same as the align 2006 funfly?

Is it the stock motor? What time is he getting out of his battery packs and what are they?

Also info on servos, regulator, controller, blades.gyro etc.

I'm looking to buy one and want to know the best 3d setup for a 6cell pack. I would like to stay away from a 10cell setup. Is just to expensive.

Bottom line how well does the Trex600 stock fly 3d?

Thanks for you help.

Trex 600
TP 5000 or EVO 4900 Batteries
V Main and Tail Blades
V Paddels
GY611 Gyro
DX7 Radio
Stock Motor / ESC

Buy that and you will have a rocket. I think Alan uses TP but the EVO 20s are really good also.

So the stock machine and motor is good enough.

Thanks for the info.

Yea, but he I've seen him fly some really strong flights with the first stock motor no problem. It'd be plenty enough power for most.

Will the stock Trex600 outperform most 90size machines?

Selling my EVO90 to buy this machine. I don't want to be disappointed.

Please give some inputs.

Thanks
Luis

Out preform a 90, IMO it is really hard to compair a 600mm to a 700mm bird. Yes the power to weight is their on the T-rex 600 but there is something to be said about how heli preform with a larger disk.

Different machines. Different characteristics.

90s are still more impressive in my opinion. The 600 changes directions more quickly than a 90 though.

I think that the flights that you are seeing him (Alan) do with the stock motor will be very hard to duplicate. I dont think that the motor is as important as the collective managment that is bing used. Most flyers would need oodles more power than stock to do the same maneuver if the collective managment is not there.

Just my opnion.

Just for clarifacation, you can never have enough power though

flight time

You may be disappointed with the flight time. Don't get me wrong. I love my T-Rex 600, XL, TP 5000, Helical 12 tooth, 611, torque tube and 8317s. I have run 5 1/2 min flights. I am having to shorten them to 5 min at times depending on my flight profile/maneuvers.

Check out page 103 in the April #10 issue of RC Heli. There's a four page article on Danny's setup. It goes through each part of the heli with a short explanation.
