Hello All,

Im wondering what the consensus is on the type of fuel to use in the 91SZH Non-pumped version. I favor the wildcat fuel but not sure which one is the best for this engine, so the question is it, the 30% LV3D or 30% Curtis fuel .

Thanks in advance

Isn't 30%LV3d and curtis fuel the same?

I could be wrong, but I think wildcat only make 2 types of 30% fuel. One is 30%nitro/18%High viscosity and the other being 30% nitro/23%Low viscosity oil.

They aren't the same as you've got a different type of oil within the YP 30% one, that one is less smokey and according to Curtis does lubricate the engine in a better way allowing faster rpm changes...

All 3

I have run all three WC 30% mixes in prototype and found them all to work well. I use the standard WC 30% helimix with 18% all synthetic oil.It gives less smoke than either of the other two and has been very motor friendly over the years. Since I burn about 100-125 gallons a year, motor life is a significant issue for me and I'm getting very good motor and bearing life. The lower smoke fuel works better for me since I fly FAI and the judges do not have to look through/around the smoke to find the model.

I run the CY 30 %. I feel it throttles exceptionally, has broad mixture possibility, power, protection, but does smoke a little more. It keeps eng clean, good life, and by the way doesn't stain mufflers. They are all good. So is the fair price.
