Hey, I am just trying to researching everyting I can about the CP Pro before I purchase it. I have read a lot about (probally not enough) about using other raidos in the CP Pro. However, I have never read anyting about using an Airtronics Rd600 before. I have been out of the heli sceen for about 5 years so I am not totally aware of the new stuff. Can I use my RD6000 in the CP Pro? And if so what would it require for the switch? Thanks.

I'm using a rd8000 and it works great. I just had to change the rx crystal Futaba single conversion. And swash to ccp3(b) not ccp3(f) like the manual shows.

Thanks Muggsy. I understand to change the crystal, but what do you mean by "Futaba single conversion?" Second, also what do you mean by "swash to ccp3(b) not ccp3(f)?" Is that the set up on the heli or radio? I downloaded the CP PRO manual and did not find anything. And I cannot find my RD manual at this time. But I do not recall anything in it for the RD. It has been a LONG time since I have messed with this. Forgive me for my stupidity but could you explain this a little more for me? Thanks

The crstal the Blade Pro uses in the rx is a negative shift (futaba short crystal). The manual RD6000 & RD8000 shows to use SWH mode (advanced heli option for CCPM mixing) CP3F with the elevator servo if front but it didnt work for me .I had to set it up for CP3B mode (elevator in rear) to get the correct swashplate movement.I think you can download the RD manuals from Airtronics

WOW! That was a fast reply. Thanks a lot. If I can't find my manual I'll download it. Probally a good idea anyways for a back up.

The best upgrade for the Cp Pro is a computer radio. Both the RD6000 & RD8000 work with the Blade Pro all that is needed is a new rx crystal to match your tx
