I know there are a lot of threads on this but I have the G2, it was good and it helped me a ton to get started. I find that setting up the Heli is rather cumbersome. I saw the the XTR and I like the look of the real life like Pics but everyone here is saying that Pheonix is better. I have seen and flown the G3 and looks a lot like the G2. I have not played with any of the settings on the G3. I like the Idea of the G3 having the fake radio but I have heard that the Phoenix will be coming out with that also. I have been flying for about 2 years and doing loops rolls inverted and I guess I need something new to keep me going on the sim so I can improve. I am leaning towards the Phoenix and from what I have read here they are good with updates and customer service which is big for me. So it will be G3 or Phoenix for me and would like to hear from people who have flown both. I know I will get all different opinons but that is what I am looking for.

Thanks Guys

I have g3.5 and phoenix but I've never used xtr.
Now for g3.5 it's a great looking sim with a lot of helis and plans and flying fields to choose from, it needs a powerful machine to run, for the phoenix the graphics are nice the filing of the heli is as close to real as it can be, I've been flying with phoenix for a will, now when I fly in g3.5 it seems a lot easier.
Go with phoenix if you want a good sim.

Requirements for Phoenix...

What PC requirements are needed for Phoenix? I have G2 also and I'm thinking of getting a new Sim.

Later...

From the horses mouth

PhoenixRC makes extremely efficient use of graphics hardware and will run on a great range of hardware configurations. Currently we recommend a minimum of 1.0 Ghz Pentium or AMD CPU, 256 MB RAM and an ATI Radeon 9600/NVidia GF4400MX equivalent. Due to its core multi-threaded physics nature, minimum-spec machines will still enjoy perfect dynamics response and accurate flight behavior. See the features:visuals section for more information.

Obviously the better your machine the more enjoyable the Sim becomes
