Hi all.

I have a Futaba 9CHP and for the life of me i cannot work out how to set the hover pitch and throttle. I know what the functions are for and i know what knobs are assigned to each on the TX.

The manual isn't much help on this and i'm not sure Y it doesn't explain the "RATE" part or how to switch the mix to "ON" when in idle -up.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Most of us just inhibit them because...
If they arent centered they make setup a hair pulling experience (and I cant afford to loose any)
They only work in normal mode.
They are useless if you use 3/4 stick hover since they only work at center stick.

Hi,
I have just gotten a 9C super myself and had no problems setting the curves in normal mode. I did not know that there as an issue with the rate mixing I guess I need to look into this also. If anyone else can shed any light on this problem it would be appreciated.

Runway? what runway??

If you are refering to the 2 knobs on the face of the tx as the hover throttle and pitch settings. Those to knobs fine tune your throttle and pitch settings at center stick, and their effect tapers off to nothing near hi and lo stick. Since most throttle and pitch curves are setup for hover near 3/4 stick, all those 2 knobs will do is make setup a headache. they will do very little to adjust your hover settings unless you hover at 1/2 stick. Just inhibit the those options and adjust your throttle and pitch curves.

The world is yours!

Great, thanks for that. I'll save myself some effort and not bother then.

Seeing as i hover 3/4 stick and always fly idle up then it isn't worth me going there

Another TX mystery solved

BMW if you setup in normal and the knobs were centered you wont have any problem.

Otherwise go into HOV-PIT and HOV-THR and inhibit them, then check your pitch and throttle curves.

Nothing really wrong with my throttle curve, just was hoping for an easier way to tweak the hover pitch.

In Perth lately its been extremely hot (not so good for standing in the sun too long either!!) but one day it's humid and the air has bite, the next it's dry and no bite.

I was just hoping to be able to adjust on the knobs my hover pitch instead of going into my curves (which on the 9C isn't hard to do either i suppose).
