Wanting one but tring to figure out how much one would end up costing. Should I get the one with the TT electrics or just the kit. What motor, esc, servos, gyro, receiver, and Batteries are you all getting the best set up.

Thanks for any information

Ken

Hey Ken,
I love mine.. In fact I have 2 ... I bought the kit with elec. and the ARF no elec. I'm not a pro. just a sport flyer... But here's what I've been running...

For the price the Kit or Arf with elec. would be good... I like the electronics the heli comes with. Their a pretty nice motor and ESC combo.

I'm running the stock ESC and Motor in the kit version. I'm planning on potting in a medusa or something in the arf one. I'm running the Logictech 2100T in it. With Hitec HS-65hb servo's. Futaba 9650 for the tail.

The HS65's you have to file down the servo mounts for them to properly fit their a little too long but it's not a big deal.

So far I'm prefering them over my 450's don't get me wrong I think the 450's are great birds but in my opinion the Mini Titan is more stable and smother then the 450's.

I'm going to set up a 450 and Mini T with the same elec. combo to give them a real test being that everything's the same elec. wise.

I'll keep you updated as soon as I get a chance to do it. But I don't think you will be disappointed with the bird.

I bought mine as a kit with motor and esc. I've used HS-65MG's on the swash plate and a 3154 tail servo, using FP 2150 & 2170 3S packs performance is pretty good using GCT carbon blades.

Current setup:

Hacker A20-6XL / 13 tooth pinion
Evo 3s 2500
CC45 ESC
GY 401 + HDS577 servo
Align 9XP servos (I might regret using these, but fine so far)
Radix Mains (but I don't think these are right for it. I had a pair of unbranded CF night blades that were better, but have been returned for faulty lights)
Spektrum 2.4Ghz radio

Seriously powerful setup. 7 mins full-on run time for 80% discharge.

hi, im sure they will hold up, their specs arent much better than the hs55's. when i put the hs65's in my mini titan i had to file out the servo brackets a little to make them fit as they were a little larger.

I too have been doing some research on the Titan, and I like what I see. It is just a matter of me putting a package together and finding a site that I want to buy from. All of this ESC and motor stuff is unfamiliar territory to me. What I mean is the Model names and the designations.
I too am trying to decide on a reliable package. I hate to sound lazy, but I just don't feel like getting out my Dremel to make something fit. I wish that I could find all the components and they all fit right. Did I hear that someone had a problem with the ACE 1016 servos? I am not sure, just chimeing in on the rest of the conversation.

Thanks

Donnie,

The ACE servos are fine and they fit. I had a stripped gear in one, but it was caused by a blade strike. I can't blame the servo for that (although I did before I figured out what had happened). The only other thing that I can think of is that the holes in the servo horns have to be enlarged to take the ball link screws supplied with the Titan kit.

Decided to get one, it's on the way.

Kit with motor and ESC
HS-65 mg on Cyclics
2100t logitec gyro with futaba 3154
Radix 325mm blades
Jr 790 receiver for now

still tring to decide on batteries DN, TP, or FP evo?

What weight on batteries should i not exceed. Thinking of getting fp evo 20 2500MAH 196 grams?

Thanks for all the infomation

Hi Ken,
My Evo 20, 2500 (actually 212grams with connector) doesn't seem to trouble the Mini T. It's obviously heavier than the model is designed for, as I have moved the tail servo back along the boom to balance. It only just goes under the canopy.
